Meet Your Cycle Guide

Pete Russel has a lifelong passion for cycling.  This passion has taken him to the U.K., Europe,U.S.A., and many parts of Canada. He has completed the local Blue Mountain Centurion Ride and, whether on his own, or leading a tour, rides almost daily in Bruce, Grey and Simcoe.  Physical fitness has been a vital part of Pete’s life. He has run 7 marathons and participated in cross country ski races including the 100 mile Canadian Ski Marathon and World’s Masters in Lake Placid. He has completed the local Blue Mountain Centurion ride and is a former ski
instructor in both alpine and cross country.

Pete has extensive cycling tour leader know how and is knowledgeable about the abundant points of interest and geographical features of Grey.  He is committed to providing the cyclists on his tours with enjoyment, tranquility and physical challenge - all part of the dynamics of cycling.

The Fine Print:
  • 50% deposit is required to book with balance due at check in.
  • The ride is rain or shine and can only be called off at the discretion of the cycle leader, in which case there will be a credit provided.
  • Should a rider choose not to take the tour of their own accord due to weather or any other reason, without the ride being cancelled by the cycle leader, no credit will be supplied.
  • Cancellation of the accommodations due to weather is not permitted.  Canceling accommodations for any other reason will result in the deposit being applied to an alternate date or should an alternate date not be available, the deposit will be forfeited.
  • All cycle tour participants must bring their own bicycles and they must be in good working and mechanical condition.
  • No mountain bikes are permitted; only road bikes or hybrid bikes are permitted on the cycle tour.
  • All cycle tour participants must sign a waiver.
  • All cycle tour participants must wear a helmet and supply their own fluids for the duration of the tour.
  • Appropriate clothing for the conditions and a spare inner tube is always good to have on hand.
